Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds Soul gospel Jazz and R&B to create a unique mix. She has performed on Broadway, at the Democratic National Convention and in the European clubs and festivals. Sunshine was born Denise White. Though she's from Atlanta but her origins are situated in Chester Pennsylvania. There she initially began her journey as musician through playing guitar and singing in the church. In Atlanta she attended Spellman College where her musical training began on the Atlanta's R&B Scene. The Fighting Temptations The first single with her vocals was called Stalk You an exclusive house 12 that was released exclusively in Japan It has since been remixed by a variety of producers, and has become a part of her live performance. She also has contributed her voices in The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. In 2005 she was hired as the primary keyboardist in Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 about serving as the director of chorus for Dreamgirls The stage show of Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was recognized nationally during her four daily performances during 2008's Democratic National Convention. She was then invited to perform in the Obama administration's 2008 inauguration.
