Aaliyah Dana Haughton burst into fame in 1994, after she debuted her first album Age Ain't Nothing But A number. It was Gold when she was just 15 years old. It was done as an album that was heavily inspired by R. Kelly and it placed her in the spotlight. In 1996, she teamed up with Jermaine Dpri and Timbaland for her sophomore studio album One In A Million, which featured the #1 hit song If Your Girl only knew. Aaliyah was a well-known R&B singer after the album's release. She was a part of the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the action-romance film Romeo Must Die. Her role came about when she was spotted by director Joel Silver at an awards event. In 2002 she had the opportunity to be part of the film vampire Queen of the Damned which was inspired by The Anne Rice novel. Majumdar. Although she began with minor film and TV performances, her acting began to gain momentum around the mid 2000s. Apart from The Big Bang Theory her other notable works are Leverage (2012) Suits (2013) and Grey's Anatomy (2017). She's also appeared in major commercials of brands such as Volvo, an international auto maker. She continues her acting career at Los Angeles, where she lives with her daughter and husband.
